Recyclables are picked up by Montgomery County on Wednesdays. All items to be collected must be out at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection, but no earlier than sundown the night before. If a holiday falls on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday recycle service will normally be delayed one day.

Curbside scrap metal collections are free and are made on the regular recycling day. Examples of items accepted are large household appliances, bicycles, cabinels. doors, grills, iron furniture, and aluminum lawn furniture. Arrangements may be made by calling 240-777-6410 before 11:00 a.m. on the business day before the recycle collection day.
